BCS uses high quality microphones and preamps to capture the "natural" sound of
the instrument. Unlike other studios that use one sound for every song, BCS
tailors the sound of each instrument to each song.

For instance, many times an album will have the same acoustic guitar sound on
every song, whether slow or fast, picking or strumming. Rather than simply use
a consistent sound, BCS uses varying microphone techniques to achieve the right
sound for each song... often using 2 or 3 microphones for a picking acoustic
guitar on a slow song or just one for songs with multiple strumming guitars.

Such techniques preserve a rich, clear sound, but the diversity of sounds keeps
the album interesting from song to song.
